Children are an important part of the community of Hope. During our worship service care is available for infants and toddlers in our newly decorated nursery. Children, ages 3 through 8, are welcome to join in the beginning of the worhip service. After the first 15 minutes they are invited to go to a classroom to hear a story and make a craft during the remainder of Hope's worship service.
Christian Education at Hope begins in preschool and continues through adulthood. After our Sunday morning worship, coffee and refreshments are served in our Gathering Room, providing a time for community. After this time of fellowship Christian Education begins and lasts for approximately 30-40 minutes.
Adult Classes are led by the pastor, church leaders and community members. Past discussions have focused on world religions, the history of religion, the story behind religious symbols, Advent, Lent, Passover and our religion relative to current events.
Children, preschool through 5th grade, meet in classrooms using a biblically based curriculum which includes a DVD video, interactive activities, crafts and songs.
Students in grades 6-12 gather in our Youth Room, which has also been newly decorated. It's a warm, friendly and inviting place - just right for a relaxed time of fellowship and learning. Our goal is to provide teens and tweens opportunities to examine life and faith issues using biblically based materials including the latest music, movies, news and current events.
The point of all our Christian Education Programs is to learn and have fun! All are welcome!
In addition to our Sunday morning Christian Ed. programs Hope has two youth groups, Lighthouse (for middle and high school students) and F.R.O.G. (for children in Kindergarten through 5th grade). Click on the "Youth" tab on the main menu for more information about both groups.
