Our Vision

Hope Presbyterian Church brings the Good News of the Gospel to the neighborhood of south Wheaton and the surrounding communities.  We welcome all people as children of God.  We are a friendly, caring church for children and for adults of all ages and we cherish the relationships across the generations.

Our worship is, for the most part, traditional, but on occasion we include praise songs and other aspects of contemporary worship.  Our music ministry is vibrant.  It glorifies our Lord and, with the wide range of offerings we incorporate into our music ministry, it enhances our worship experience.

We enjoy and encourage our youth to participate in our services, as well as in all church activities and events.  We celebrate the variety of experiences that this gives us.  A primary focus of “Hopers” is to educate and nurture our children in the faith.  At the same time, we invite adults to join in our bible studies and to attend and participate in the many educational and fellowship activities we sponsor throughout the year.

We support a variety of mission projects, from local to global, by donating materially, participating directly, and serving on boards.  In particular, our mission outreach is committed to the local support of the People's Resource Center, a local food bank. Every Wednesday evening, 16-19 members of Hope can be found at the PRC enabling them to expand their  Food Market program in this time of need.

In addition to our mission activities, we are blessed to have a strong, long-standing and vital partnership with Hope Presbyterian Church of Chicago.  The congregations enjoy the fellowship and spiritual support we provide each other.

Hope’s members and friends endeavor, in all we do, to live our Mission Statement:

The community of Hope exists

To let people know they matter to God

By showing them they matter to us

By letting others know they matter to them
