Sunday School for Elementary Children

Christian Education at Hope begins in preschool and continues through adulthood. Our preschool through Elementary age Sunday School is run in conjuncion with Sunday morning worhip.  After our Sunday morning worship, coffee and refreshments are served in our Gathering Room, providing a time for community fellowship.  After this time of fellowship Christian Education begins for 6th graders through adults and lasts for approximately 30-40 minutes.

Children, preschool through 5th grade, are in the sanctuary for the first 15 minutes of the service.  They then receive a blessing and are excused to meet in the "Children's Worship Space", our newly decorated classroom.  Each week a Storyteller shares a parable or story visually with the children, using hand crafted characters and settings.  Afterwards, the children are free to use these characters to act out the story, create an art project related to some part of the story, or use the "Desert Box" to retell the story.

Adult Classes meet after Fellowship and are led by the pastor, church leaders and community members.  Past discussions have focused on world religions, the history of religion, the storys behind religious symbols, Advent, Lent, Passover and our religion relative to current events.
