How it all started...
In 1969 seven families met in a farmhouse on the south side of Wheaton to join together as members of Hope Presbyterian Church. Lead by Pastor Heinrich Eiler, Hope’s membership grew and our new church home was dedicated in December, 1978. Our building doubled in size in 1995 with the addition of more classrooms, offices and meeting spaces.
In the early 2000's Hope committed to make social justice and outreach to the community beyond our doors a factor in all our decisions. We created our Welcoming Statement, began our partnership with the People's Resource Center, and increased our financial assistance for non-profit organizations which support those in need.
From the beginning, Hope has focused on supporting our own faith journeys and offering our time, our talents and our hearts to those in need.

What Makes Hope Special?
When asked, "What makes Hope special?", most members will say, "Hope is like a family." If you're looking for a church home, wishing to connect with your community, or searching for personal connections that go beyond Sunday mornings, Hope is here for you!
Where we are headed...
Hope is a small, strong congregation committed to helping our neighbors in need at home and around the world. The words of Matthew 25: 35-40 serve as a guiding principle in all we do at Hope:
"For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me,
I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.
Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me."

I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.
